ZSL Superhero Takeover
Brand campaign | Digital and Motion
Our brief was to create a multi-channel brand campaign to promote ZSL’s action packed season celebrating the super powers of the zoo’s most awesome animals and raise awareness of some of our planet’s biggest challenges.
From spotted sprinters to deep sea defenders, this was a campaign designed to celebrate some of our planet’s true superheroes and a call to action to join against some of the most serious threats facing wildlife today.
Inspired by superhero comic book language and typography, we teamed up with illustrator Andy Smith to create a fun, light-hearted brand identity and integrated outdoor and digital campaign to help ZSL promote its exciting programme of superhero inspired events and activity and educate audiences on some of the world’s significant environmental issues in a fun, engaging way.
Running across London throughout the Spring and Summer we created a campaign of three phases (Super Powers, Superheroes & Villains and Superhero Academy), which were designed to work across multiple channels and generate interest with potential visitors during the peak holiday periods.
Along with the brand campaign which included a large scale out of home media campaign, as well as YouTube and radio advertising, the creative was translated into a number of interactive onsite activities and events.
