Inspiring a new generation of students

University of Derby
Brand campaign

Following a recent brand positioning and brand refresh project for the University, we were tasked with bringing their new brand story and identity to life in a compelling creative idea for their Undergraduate brand campaign 2018/19 which would help them drive cut-through in an increasingly competitive marketplace and cement their new brand positioning in the hearts and minds of its audiences.

As a University of both academic strength and practical experience, we created a campaign which played on the idea that the University was a welcoming, inclusive place that could be many things to many people. We created a campaign idea that would showcase the sheer variety of experiences on offer for students and would enable multiple messages and proof points to be communicated.
‘The University of…’ became a simple, bold consistent campaign mechanism which was translated across the entire Undergraduate journey. Teamed with a suite of new reportage style photography the ideas was successfully applied by the University’s design and digital team across all brand touch points including the prospectus, website, outdoor advertising campaign, social channels, open day materials, radio ads and much more.
