Evolving a brand for today and tomorrow

University of Derby

Following a strategic review of the University of Derby’s brand, we were tasked with evolving and refreshing the University’s identity. This included reviewing the use of the brand across its many campuses, its commercial enterprises, its prospectuses and the University’s digital experiences.

Our review established that although there was little appetite or requirement for a complete rebrand, we understood that following several years of significant organisational change the brand needed to evolve in alignment with the University’s overall future strategy.
Based on the brand proposition of a ‘University of today and for tomorrow’ we created a refreshed brand which represented a modern, contemporary, forward thinking University and provided greater flexibility in order for the brand to evolve with the pace of change of the higher education sector.
