Edit_ Creative Director Karen Hughes named as D&AD Judge 2017

This year D&AD turns 55 and although we haven’t been around that long, the awards and the festival have played a huge role in our creative careers. Over the last ten years we have won some of the much coveted pencils, been inspired by the amazing work that’s shown annually and had the opportunity to connect with some of the most exciting industry professionals working today.

D&AD 2017 holds particular significance though, because for the first time, our Co-Founder and Creative Director Karen Hughes will be taking a seat on the judging panel. It’s a huge honor, not only to work with the other judges but also to see the array of amazingly creative and innovative work our industry produces day after day. Andy Sandoz, D&AD President (2015-2016) once described the judging process as “the world’s best design and advertising, judged by the worlds best design and advertising practitioners.” So, as we enter our first year as Edit_ this recognition feels all the more special.
Karen will be sharing her insights at a later date, in the meantime though, this short film explains exactly what goes on when the judges gather.
